WP5 Training Session on Violence Prevention

Salzburg, December 1–5, 2025
FH Salzburg, University of Applied Sciences, hosted an international training event at Campus Urstein as part of WP5 of the PREV-HED project. The multi-day program brought together experts and project partners to exchange knowledge and explore innovative approaches to violence prevention and restorative practices.
Day 1 — Keynote, Presentations & Workshop
The event opened with:
- An official welcome and retrospective of the project’s progress
- A keynote lecture and discussion by Luisa*, followed by partner presentations
- Interactive formats — small-group discussions, guided reflections, and workshops that encouraged active participation and cross-country learning
A highlight of the first day was the workshop “Neustart – Teatro di pace”, which used role play to address perspective change when working with perpetrators.
Day 2 — Reflection & World Café
Second-day World Café teamwork
On the second day, participants engaged in:
- Individual reflection sessions
- A World Café process, enabling structured dialogue across six thematic tables
- Table presentations summarizing the key insights from each group
The program concluded with a Chatbot presentation, showcasing the digital multilingual, confidential chatbot developed within the project for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The chatbot helps students identify and report cases of sexual harassment and guides them to the right first steps and support services.
Day 3 — Field Trip & Closing
The final day featured:
- A field trip to the Protective Shield Against Violence (Gewaltschutzschirm), with expert input from Managing Director Mag.a Isabel Bojanovsky
- A feedback and discussion session reflecting on the training outcomes
- A social dinner, strengthening networking and collaboration among partners
Takeaway
Overall, the training successfully combined theory, practice, and innovation, contributing to sustainable cooperation and knowledge exchange in violence prevention.
